Dog Training Policy

At Rufus' Training Academy we use kind, science-backed, reward-based methods. This policy sets expectations for everyone attending our classes. 1. Methods We use positive reinforcement only. Aversive tools (choke, prong or e-collars) are not permitted at any session. 2. Vaccinations & health All dogs must be up to date with core vaccinations. Please do not bring your dog if they are unwell or in season. 3. Equipment Flat collars, harnesses and standard leads (no flexi-leads in class). Please bring high-value treats and a mat or bed. 4. Conduct Handlers must manage their dog's behaviour, give other dogs space and follow the trainer's guidance at all times. 5. Children Children are welcome with an accompanying adult who is not the primary handler. 6. Safety We reserve the right to ask a handler to leave if a dog or person is at risk.
